The aim of this lesson is to present to student the early development of Mathematics, especialy:

• The methods of counting and writing down the results.
• System of symbolic writing of numbers for example Roman Numbers.
• Circumstances of the creation of positioned system of expresing numbers and history of global introduction of indo-arabic number system.

Student will understand the need of the creation of better and easier number system as a result of a emerging demand for more calculations and difficulty associated with Roman Numbers handling. They will understand the idea of grouping elements in order to limit the quantity of symbols necessary to expres numbers. They wil understand and distinguish the concept of number and digit.
